Getting over it

You can probably imagine how lousy the rest of my Sunday was and it certainly didn't get easier on Monday. Dealing with the glass people (aka: idiots) and the insurance people (aka: idiots) was truly a joy. Honestly people...do you think I am buying a new window for fun? People who are purchasing new windows or making a claim on their insurance are going to be unhappy people who have just experienced something unpleasant or at the least spending money they probably dont have on something they probably weren't expecting, show some freakin' sympathy! Nuf said.

Our boys participate in a program called CHILL, sponsored by Burton, it is a six week, free program where underprivileged kids get to learn how to board up at Brighton...all gear provided. It became necessary for me to join our group as a chaperone and Monday was to be my first night up there and my first time on a board. I was pretty nervous. My coworkers were concerned that after the kind of day I had had, I was in no shape to spend the evening participating in a tiring and potential frustrating activity but I assured them I needed something to get my mind off my anger and the workout couldn't hurt.

I had the time of my life! It was so much fun, a great workout and I left in a much better mood than I had arrived. I think I was actually pretty good too! I have been suffering from some mild muscle pain and bruises on my knees but I am so excited to go every Monday.
